We are looking for a dedicated and qualified English B Teacher for to teach English as a second
language to students in our Middle Year Program and DP Program.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Mathematics Teacher role located at Indus International School Pune in Pune. The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for creating and delivering lesson plans to students, using qualified teaching techniques and strategies for mathematics education in alignment with the IB curriculum, developing and implementing curriculum materials and methods, and participating in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of mathematics and teaching techniques and strategies
- Experience in developing and implementing curriculum materials and methods
- Qualified teacher with relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with the IB curriculum is desired
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Education, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in the relevant field would be beneficial.

- English B Teacher (ESL)
3. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IBDP English B (SL/HL) to Grades 6 to 12 students.
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned with IB Language Acquisition standards and assessment criteria.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in English in an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
- Prepare students for Internal Assessments (IA) and external examinations (Paper 1, Paper 2, and Individual Oral).
- Foster international-mindedness and intercultural understanding through language learning.
- Differentiate instruction based on student needs, language proficiency levels, and learning styles.
- Collaborate with the Language Acquisition department and contribute to vertical and horizontal curriculum planning.
- Provide timely, formative, and summative feedback aligned with IB assessment objectives.
- Participate in school-wide activities, student mentoring, and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) where relevant.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and attend relevant IB workshops and school training sessions.

4. Qualifications & experience required (Teachers):
- Master’s Degree in English, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching English as a second language within the IB Diploma Programme.
- Experience of teaching young learners English as a second language and knowledge and
understanding of the English B course construction. - Prior IB training in Language B (Category 1 or 2 workshops) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the IB Learner Profile, Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL), and
international education philosophy. - Strong command of English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning tools.
