Primary Years Programme (PYP)

The PYP marks the start of a lifelong journey. It is designed to help develop caring and culturally aware children from the age of 3 through to 11. They are actively encouraged to be participants in their own learning journey. 

The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP): This is a curriculum, a philosophy, and a methodology for young learners between Reception and PYP V. In this program, emphasis is placed on trans-disciplinary and inquiry-based learning.

Middle Years Programme (MYP)

The Middle Years Programme builds upon the strong academic foundation laid in the primary years, working to develop the students’ in managing their own learning. They are guided to make connections between their learning in the classroom and the world outside. 

 

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) is designed for students between Grades VI and X. The students’ intellectual, aesthetic, physical, and social development through interdisciplinary learning is the focus of this programme. Apart from the regular learnings during these years, there is a focus on Community and Personal Projects as a culmination of this journey through MYP. 

Age range: 11-16 years

To be awarded the MYP Certificate by the IB, a student must have completed the following: Six On-Screen examinations; ePortfolio in any one of PHE/Design/Arts and Personal Project. However, in IISP we offer 8 On-Screen Subjects in which a student can have two more Sciences/one more sciences with Economics or Business Management. Economics and Business Management are school based subjects which are offered to students to expose them to the DP requirements. Two more sciences are offered to the students at IISP to have more exposure in their career requirements.

Diploma Programme (DP)

By the time the students have reached this stage, their inquiring mindset and the desire to learn is sharpened and outward-looking. This programme is designed as future-ready to take that on and prepare them to excel at their careers and go on to lead meaningful lives beyond the school

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) is a 2-year course for Grade XI and Grade XII. The programme fulfills the requirements of a national curriculum through interdisciplinary learning by developing international awareness and understanding. The IB Diploma is a pre-university qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities and international institutions.

Key points to remember when choosing subjects :

  • Select one subject from each Group
  • Students must have at least one Group 4 subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, ESS)
  • Students must have at least one Group 3 subject (Business management, Economics, History, Psychology, Geography, ESS, Digital Society)
  • Environmental Systems & Societies (offered at the SL only) is a trans-disciplinary subject. By choosing to study a trans-disciplinary course such as this, as part of their Diploma, students can satisfy the requirements for both Groups 3 and 4 of the circles, thus allowing them to choose another subject from any other group (including another Group 3 or Group 4 subject)
  • Students must have 3 HL and 3 SL subjects
  • If Visual Arts is not a preferred subject in Group 6, then a student can pick up one subject either from Group 3 or 4

IBCP - IB Career-Related Programme (CP)

Indus International is one of the very few IB schools in Pune that offers the IB Career-related Programme covering Business Administration as a Career-related study (CRS).  

Business Administration will be a mandatory subject, including 8 modules, an Internship and Capstone Project, to receive the “Business Administration International Advanced Diploma” (Grade 12). 

In addition to Business Administration, a student can select 2 or 3 more DP subjects, in order to receive the IB Career Related Programme Certificate.
